Galloping Gourmets Team Cooking
A competitive culinary workout where victory is sweet!
Galloping Gourmets tests the skill, the creativity and the teamwork of the group. Teams will compete side by side creating out of this world dishes with the objective of winning over the judge's taste buds.
This culinary masterpiece is great for groups looking for a unique and fun environment for relationship building and enhanced communication. It also provides a metaphor for new beginnings, success and a message that “sticks”.
The activity starts with an orientation; this orientation involves an introduction to the event, an explanation of the rules and safety issues. From there, we break off into teams. We recommend that the client divide the group into teams prior to the event from a strategic perspective (see breakdown below) but can assist if required. Teamwork, effective communication, conflict management, sound decision making, problem solving, and creativity are key skills that will be required to ensure success completion of the objective.
There will be 5 to 8 food stations (plus Introduction/Closing Ceremonies) during the event. Each food station will be fully stocked with all the necessary food items and cookware including a secret ingredient. Teams will be required to produce various appetizers, an entrée, a dessert and a colourful menu board. All of these items will be presented to the judges upon completion of the final station.
Once the judging is in progress participants will have a chance to check out each other’s dishes and an opportunity to eat their own creations. During the Closing Ceremony, the top performers will be recognized and the and the Galloping Gourmet Championship Team can be announced!
